Using common, and simple, tactics loosely titled Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, can have a great impact on your genealogy or family history blog. Learning to utilize those tools can be intimidating to some, downright scary to others. Debates have occurred as to if it’s really necessary for anyone from hobbyist to professional, to optimize their sites.
I, for one, believe it is. It is absolutely necessary, and will benefit you, your research, and your family in the long run.
How does one go about this? I’ve put it all in writing, in an easy to understand, step-by-step guide. My eBook, A Snapshot of SEO’s: Understanding Search Engine Optimization and How It Can Affect Your Genealogy Blog, is now available via my website.
Learn about why this matters, who it can affect, how you can do it, and how long it really takes to develop a simple SEO plan. Written specifically for genealogy bloggers, the text provides several examples, images that help you understand the specifics and a glossary of terminology specific to the “back door” of search engines.
The eBook is available through the Ancestral Journeys website, for a nominal $3.99.
