Congratulations on producing a beautiful publication. A couple of things I really liked besides the articles, were the ease of turning the pages, enlarging the pages, and seeing the links in blue, so easy to spot. You all should give yourselves a pat on the back. Thanks everybody.

Thanks, Barbara! I have to admit that my broken eyes love that I can enlarge it! It makes it much easier to read for me. Glad it’s a nice platform for you, too!

Reading this issue gave me a lot of information that I knew nothing about and I have been working on Family History for the past 30+ years. Wonderful, informative, and just plain fun to read. I am looking forward to the next issue. It was well put together and understandable to every level of research. Keep up the fantastic work. Thank you for making it available to all! p.s. I have posted the link on the FB page I administer. I hope you get lots of readers!

  15. Congrats to you all for putting out a superb ezine. I have just read cover to cover and have found each and every page an enjoyable education. Haven’t really seen that since my days of the Genealogical Helper magazine. Look forward to so many future magazines. ~debbie

  16. Great publication !! Thank you for doing this.

In the article “Timeless Territories Deeds: How to get a copy”, page 24, by Michelle Goodman.
It refers to “last October’s “Timeless Territories”\" about deed indexes, how or where can I access that article? Thanks

  17. Your instructions for downloading a PDF version don’t work for me. On step 2 I don’t see a box with an arrow that shows ‘“download” if you hover over it with your mouse’. I have registered with the website but then what? Can anyone tell me what is going wrong? Thank you.

    • The In-Depth GenealogistThe In-Depth Genealogist on said:

Hi, Harold! I’ll add a screenshot on the instructions so it points it out. There is also a link above to the Issuu Helpdesk. That may help as well. :)

  18. I am astounded! This is much more than I ever though I would be receiving. I will definitely pass the word along about it.

    Great job! Magnificently prepared.

  19. MariannSRegan on said:

Hi. I’d like to comment on each article as I read through. Is there a way to do that? Or is there an icon that I should click on?

    • The In-Depth GenealogistThe In-Depth Genealogist on said:

Hi Mariann! We have a forum category set up in the IDG forum for each column/section of the magazine. You can comment there or ask questions for the author. I’m sure they would love to hear it! Hope that helps!

  20. Now I just need to figure out how to get it on my Kindle and/or Iphone…..do you recommend a source for that part of the process?

    • The In-Depth GenealogistThe In-Depth Genealogist on said:

Hi Kathy! There are instructions on this page as well as a video tutorial. If those don’t help, the Issuu Help Desk is linked above with more specific information, especially for Apple products. Hope that helps!

  21. Wonderful new magazine!!

However, I am having a hard time finding where I sign up for the reminders on the 15th of the month. Do I have to set an account with Issuu in order to get them?

    Thanks!

Hi Lora! You can sign up to receive our newsletter and select the option to give you the monthly email reminder when the new issue of Going In-Depth is available. Here’s the link for you: http://eepurl.com/sW1-j

      Hope that helps! Stephanie

  22. Love your magazine. But I have one problem with it. It is very difficult to read in PDF format with double columns. It would be easier to read if everything was one column. That way I would not have to scroll down one side then back up the page to continue on the other side. Thanks.

    • Thank you for your comment regarding our magazine. Though we want to do our best to make it as easy to read as possible there are some limitations to the digital format. We want Going In-Depth to look and feel like a real magazine and be aesthetically pleasing in addition to providing great content. You might try reading it through the online reader at Issuu. Or you could print a copy (I’d print black & white for best readability). I’m sorry that we can’t accommodate your request, but at this time we’re going to continue to provide a magazine with a mix of single and two column articles. I hope you understand and continue to read.

      Thank you!
